The piece of meat was pushed to the stomach by slight pressure with the scope to reveal a peristaltic wave that transmits through the esophageal lumen. The piece of meat is seen in the stomach. |

Tubular adenocarcinoma. The surface epithelium adjacent to the gastric adenocarcinoma is composed of columnar cells with hyperchromatic, pseudostratified nuclei, mild nuclear pleomorphism, basally located nuclei and loss of nuclear basal polarity, features diagnostic of low-grade dysplasia (H&E, medium-power magnification). |

Gastric lymphoma. A diffuse,dense, basophilic malignant lymphoid infiltrate is present in the deep oxyntic mucosa, obliterating the normal oxyntic glands (H&E medium ower magnification).
